Knowledge Based Activity
1 Contact Hour

Target audience: Pharmacists in all areas of practice and other healthcare professionals.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

·List common causes of medication errors;

·Describe common examples of medication errors that have occurred in HIV and non-HIV populations;

·List common methods to reduce incidence of medication errors.

The Pharmacists Society of the State of New York is accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.


All participants will have the opportunity to evaluate the educational session and presenter, and to identify their future educational needs.

The dinner sponsor is AbbView,  who will include a presentation by Domenic Aiello, MD, FACE .

To receive credit, participants must fully attend the session (no partial credit will be awarded), sign an attendance form, and using the access code provided, complete the online evaluation.

Attendance will be verified.

After completing the evaluation, CE credit will be reported to CPE monitor two weeks after the activity.

CPE monitor will not accept credits beyond 60 days following the educational activity.
