At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

· Define the epidemiology of influenza among adults and highlight recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) regarding use of the 2016-17 influenza vaccine products;

· Describe the burden of pertussis disease implementation of ACIP recommendations for use of Tdap and Td vaccines in adults;

· Identify the issue of pneumococcal disease among adults and understand updated ACIP recommendations regarding use of both the Pneumococccal Polysaccharide Vaccine (PPSV-23) and Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV-13);

· List relevant late breaking vaccine-related news items;

· Identify credible resources for additional information regarding use of vaccines.
