Target Audience: Pharmacists and student pharmacists in all practice settings.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

Ø Describe Alzheimer’s and dementia;

Ø Recognize how Alzheimer’s disease affects the brain;

Ø List the risk factors of Alzheimer’s Disease

Ø Identify the three stages of the disease;

Ø Recognize current FDA-approved treatments that can address some symptoms of the disease;

Ø Describe how scientists are working to advance research;

Ø Name resources available.

The Pharmacists Society of the State of New York is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

 

Attendees must sign in, attend the full activity and within 7 days complete the program survey and evaluation for continuing education credit. Within two weeks of completion, your attendance will be submitted to NABP CPE Monitor.
