At the conclusion of this activity the participant will be able to:

Ø  List and describe the FDA approved and off-label uses of anticoagulants;

Ø  List the benefits of genetic testing for warfarin dosing;

Ø  Describe transition plans for patients switching between warfarin and DOACs;

Ø  Relate the use of an implantable device for anticoagulation and create an appropriate post-surgical anticoagulation therapy plan;

Ø  List treatment plans for patients with hypercoagulable states.
