Program  -

At the conclusion of the presentation attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify the population of patients who would be at risk of stroke with atrial fibrillation or deep vein thrombosis
  2. Describe the benefits of oral anticoaglunts for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation and deep vein thrombosis
  3. Discuss the benefits and risks of oral anticoagulant therapy for reducing the risk of stroke in atrial fibrillation patients and deep vein thrombosis
  4. List counselling points to educate patients on adverse events associated with anticoagulants
