At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

- verbalize the current quantitative and qualitative impact of dementia from patient care to public health;
- articulate knowledge of current, evidence based gold standard algorithm for screening, diagnosis and management of dementia in primary care;
- list strategies that address barriers to medication adherence and polypharmacy issues for the person with dementia;
- verbalize the critical role of the Pharmacist as a member of the interprofessional care team for improving quality of life for people with dementia.
