- list the role of non-opioid medications and pharmacology used in the treatment of chronic pain;
- describe and discuss risk mitigation strategies being employed by providers to reduce abuse and misuse of opioids;
- contrast and compare naloxone products available on the market for in-home use and legislation surrounding their distribution;
- identify and assess a patient’s risk for respiratory depression and need for in-home naloxone through the Risk Index for Overdose Induced Respiratory Depression (RIOSORD) tool;
