Target Audience: Pharmacist and student pharmacists in all practice settings.


At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Define preventable adverse events and the impact on professionals and patients
  • Review process-related approach to preventable adverse events (or errors)
  • Discuss the status and impact of the Collaborative Drug Therapy Management Law
  • Discuss the Comprehensive Medication Management legislative proposal
  • Distinguish Comprehensive Medication Management from Collaborative Drug Therapy Management
  • Consider the impact of CMM on chronic diseases encountered in community pharmacy practice
